Susan Farr Armstrong

On May 6, 2021 Susan Farr Armstrong passed away peacefully at her home in Lake Wylie SC with her two children by her side.

Susan was born on September 20th 1940 in New York City and grew up in Bellport, Long Island. She attended St Margarets school in Waterbury, Connecticut and then went onto Mills College in Oakland, California where she majored in French and for a time lived in Paris. In 1960 while living and working in New York City Susan met and married John Durham Armstrong of Belmont Massachusetts. The two later settled in the San Francisco Bay Area where they raised two children and for over 20 years Susan worked as a property manager. In 2004 John and Susan retired to Kure Beach NC, where they enjoyed the Ocean, traveling abroad and hosting family and friends. After her husbands passing in 2018 Susan spent her remaining years close to her family in Lake Wylie SC.

Susan is survived by her two children, Sarah Armstrong and Andrew Armstrong, his wife Daphne, her two grandchildren Aidan and Taylor Armstrong, her beloved dog Janie, her brother, Edward Farr, sister Frances Torrey and six nephews and two nieces.
