Rachel Flenniken Obituary
Rachel Marguerite Rhode Flenniken, age 91 of Rock Hill passed away Monday November 23, 2020.
She was born April 5, 1929 in Charleston SC to the late Quillie Rhode and Lula Bernice Hill Rhode.
Mrs. Flenniken was preceded in death by her husband Charles Alexander “Alec” Flenniken Sr. and her brother Charles Monroe Rhode.
Rachel was a member of Oakland Baptist Church, Retired from Winthrop College and was a member of The South Carolina Employees and Retirees Association.
She loved to work in her yard enjoying her time outdoors. She was a volunteer at Pruitt Health and Nursing Facility, Piedmont Medical Center as a Pink Lady , Ebenezer and Richland Drive Elementary Schools.
Mrs. Flenniken has two children, one son Charles Alexander Flenniken Jr. one daughter Peggy Rowley and five grandchildren. Close friends Mr. Leonard Starnes his wife Jane their children and grandchildren, Mrs. Diane Marion and Mrs. Linda Rippy.
Graveside services will be held 11:00am Friday November 27, 2020 at Grandview Memorial Park Officiated by Rev. Eddie Ramsey.
