James Murphy Obituary

James "Freddie" Hefner Murphy, 79, of Rock Hill, died Thursday, January 28, 2021. He was a High School State Champion in the MILE, an avid sports fan, and a US Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen; 2 children, Kevin Murphy (Madison), Susanne Meredith (Timmy); 2 sisters, Sandra Hefner, Sharon Hefner; a brother, Kenneth Murphy; 7 grandchildren, Beth, Kevin, Brittany, Lacey, Kendall, Rebekah, Rileigh; 12 great-grandchildren also survive.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 3:00pm in the Rock Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Kidney Foundation.
