Freddy Francisco Casas Gonzalez

Freddy Francisco Casas Gonzalez, 84 of Fort Mill, SC passed away peacefully at his home, Wednesday September 7th, 2022.  He was born in San Francisco California, November 18th, 1937.  He married the love of his life, Maria “Marita” Angeles Theoktisto, May 10, 1969, in Caracas, Venezuela.

Freddy is survived by his wife Maria Casas of Fort Mill. His daughter Claudia Casas, his son in-law Luis Fernandez and his three grandchildren, Isabella, Anabella, and Daniella Fernandez of Fort Mill. His son Luis Casas and his daughter in-law Eliana Ruiz of Texas. His daughter Gisela Casas from his first marriage to Carmen Petrocelli, his grandchild Daniel Mireles and two great-grandchildren, Mauro and Mara Mireles of Florida. In addition, many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother Antonio Casas Gonzalez and his sister Giselle Casas Gonzalez.

Freddy worked in the auto industry for nearly 35 years. Most significant time was with General Motors, where he held important roles, such as managing dealerships and training staff in product marketing.

He was kind to strangers and loved ones alike and was always willing to help and contribute. Was fond of tending his garden, walking his dog “Bruce”, and watching TV.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2 pm at St Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Road, East Fort Mill, SC 29715. Visitation will follow the service.
