Emma Funderburk

Rock Hill, SC – Emma Carolyn Howe Funderburk, 87, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

The family will receive friends 5 – 7 pm, Friday, May 27, 2022, at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be 12:30 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Road.

A native of Hickory Grove, SC, Mrs. Funderburk was a daughter of the late Marion Wade Howe and Inell Smith Howe.  She is a lady who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading and going on vacation in the mountains and at the beach.  She was proud of her Japanese Maple Trees in her yard.

Surviving are her three sons, Fred J. Funderburk, Jr and his wife, Kay of Rock Hill, SC, John D. Funderburk of York, SC, and Dennis B Funderburk of Rock Hill, SC; two daughters, Virginia K Newell and her husband, Jack of York, SC and Tina Head of Rock Hill, SC; 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Funderburk, Sr.; a brother: and two sisters.
