Christine Pignalitti McCallion

Christine (Pignalitti) McCallion, age 71, died on May 15, 2021 in her home in Lake Wylie, surrounded by her family.

Christine is survived by her husband, John, of Lake Wylie, her children Lauren (Jason) Barranti of Belmont, NC, Courtney (Mark) Bertram of Urbandale, IA and Ryan (Ashley) McCallion of York, SC. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Reilly, Jack, Tessa, Declan and Mara.

Christine was born on July 11, 1949 in New York, NY, to parents Willie and Millie Pignalitti. She was raised in Queens along with her brother, Tony and sister Carmela.

Christine married John McCallion on April 22, 1972.  In 1995 Christine and John moved from Long Island to Fort Mill, and then 6 years ago moved to Lake Wylie.

Christine retired from US Airways/American Airlines in 2015.

Christine was a social butterfly.  She was active in the Red Hats as well as her garden club, Gardening on the Cay.  

She had an infectious smile, and never met a stranger.

A memorial mass is scheduled for Saturday, July 10th at 11:00am at All Saints Lake Wylie Catholic Church in Clover, SC.
