Charles Stuart Obituary

Charles R. Stuart, 79, passed peacefully on January 18, 2021 at the home of Dustin and Kathryn Stuart. Mr. Stuart, along with his wife Peg, retired in 2011 relocating from Mansfield, Ohio to South Carolina.

“Chuck” is known for his love of family and diligent work ethic. He immensely enjoyed spending time with family, NASCAR, golf and, if the opportunity presented itself, dancing as only his swivel hips could do.  He enjoyed his church communities greatly. Without reservation, family and friends could always rely on Chuck to give a helping hand.  Chuck served his country in the Navy as a mechanic.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Margaret “Peg” Jean (Nowakowski) Stuart. A native of Knox, PA, Mr. Stuart was the son of the late James and Elizabeth “Bette” Stuart. He is survived by his four grateful children - Audrey (Tim) Cercelle, Adam Stuart, Christine (Matt) Benson and Dustin (Kathryn) Stuart; nine grandchildren - Brosden, Christopher, Iszabella, Ryan, Sofía, Jack, Kaden, Gavin, and Khloe; his brother, Jack Stuart and sister, Sharyn (Michael) Roberts.

He will be selfishly missed but his philosophy will live on - Do more than is required.

The family is choosing to have a private ceremony for safety concerns.

Memorials may be made to Church of the Infant Jesus Mission, 4534 US-501, Marion, South Carolina 29571.
