Carmen Giardino Obituary

Carmen Giardino, 84, of Rock Hill passed from this life to his eternal home in Heaven on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Carmen was born on May 20, 1936 in Boston, MA to the late Charles and Vincenza Bellone Giardino. He was a Veteran who served in the United States Air Force for 9 years. An avid musician since high school, he played a smooth saxophone to the end. He worked with electronics his entire life, retired from Avaya Inc. If he couldn't fix or rig something, it was just broke. He also had a love for the water and outdoors. His family will remember the many things he taught them and how he always put his family first. He was one of a kind and left an impression on everyone he came in contact with. He always had a story or joke to tell, and repeated them often.  Carmen / Dad / Papa will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.  He was preceded in death by one son Carmen Anthony Giardino and two sisters Francis Miller and Loretta Giardino.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 47 years Alicia Cook Giardino, their daughter Angela Nesselroad and husband Jimmy of Lake Wylie, SC, step-son Chris Boswell, son Danny Joe Giardino, daughters Regina Igel and Concetta Giardino, brother Joe Giardino, sister Diane Garvey, grandchildren Eli, Haley, Brianna, Kristen. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020 2:00pm Friendship UMC.
