Brian Scott Young

Brian Scott Young, 43, of Fort Mill, SC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, surrounded by family. He battled ALS for over 3 years and fought the good fight to stay with his family for as long as possible.

Brian was born on March 29, 1980, and grew up in the greater Clarion, PA area. He and his wife moved to the Charlotte, NC area in 2001 and to Fort Mill in 2007 where he spent the remainder of his life. Brian enjoyed working for Hendrick Automotive Group in the Information Technology department for the past 8 years where his colleagues were an extension of his family. His wife and daughter would like to thank his team at Hendrick for all the love and support throughout the last several years, your generosity is greatly appreciated.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tricia Merryman Young and his daughter, Alyssa M. Young. His Mother, Mary Kathleen Kriebel and Step-Father, William L. Kriebel. His Grandmother, Jane E. Matthews his half-brother, Michael Young. Proceeded in death by his Father, Roger A. Young. He will be sadly missed by his beloved cats, Sahar and Mochi.

His family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the Nurses and Doctors at the Atrium Health Pineville ICU and Hospice Community Care Center in Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 20th at the Clebourne House, 138 Clebourne Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
