Blanche Juanita Moss Betchler, age 82, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. She was surrounded by her family.
Born in Clover, Kings Mountain Township in York County, South Carolina.
She was loved dearly by her family, friends, and church family. She was a founding and active member of the Rock Hill Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was a graduate of Fort Mill High School class of 1958. She remained close and active with her classmates and ladies group “The Pearls” who were like sisters to her. Blanche retired as a tax accountant from Carolina Handling and ABF Freight Line. She also worked and retired from Target, all of Charlotte, NC
Blanche is survived by two daughters, Gayle Betchler Crowe and Sheila Kauffman. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Carolyn Crowe Mclntyre (Brian), Cynthia Crowe Jones (Ben), and Bradley Moss Mitchell. Four great-grandchildren, Brianna Miller, Mackenzie Miller, Brayden Mclntyre, and Alexis Mclntyre
She was the 3rd child of nine children. She was preceded in death by her parents John S and Geneva McCarter Moss. Her son Charles Richard Betchler, two sisters, Thelma Moss Tollison, Catherine Moss Snipes, two brothers, John Moss and James Moss. She is also survived by her brother Blease Moss (Shirley), and her three sisters, Brenda Moss Lawson, Jenny Moss Farmer (Joey), and Wanda Moss Collins. She had multiple nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, or the Rock Hill Seventh-Day Adventist Church
The viewing will be held at Palmetto Funeral Home at 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC, 29708 on Sunday the 21st at 4-6pm. The service will be held at the Rock Hill Seventh-Day Adventist Church on 255 Neely Store Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29730 on Tuesday the 23rd at 2pm. A Burial will follow and take place at Grandview Memorial park at 6205 South Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732.
