Barbara Ann Sherwood

Barbara Ann Sherwood, 58, of York County, SC, left us on Monday, November 14, 2022, in bed. Born in Lakewood, New Jersey, Barbara was raised in Toms River and attended both Toms River High School South and East.

Barbara had worked in healthcare, bookkeeping and food service for most of her career. Her choices were driven by a desire to be a good mother and to stay nearby her family. Several years as a manager of Jersey Mike’s in Point Pleasant, NJ, allowed her to help launch a Tega Cay favorite, Stir Crazy Bar & Grill. This is where most of her South Carolina friends were made and was successful largely because of her skills, determination, and amazing personality.

Everyone who knew her has some personal story and a special place in their heart with her memory.
Barbara is survived by her mother Barbara Brown; son and daughter- in-law Christopher and Samantha Sherwood; grandson (and greatest joy) Declan; brother John Sherwood; sister and her husband Mary Ellen and Chris Buehring; and many aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, cousins and a great group of lifelong friends.

Celebration of Life memorial will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 2020 Tavern, 2150 Gold Hill Road, Tega Cay.
