She lived the majority of her years in Pelham, NC and the last 6 years with her daughter in Fort Mill, SC.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Thomas H. Booth, who passed away in Danville in 2018.   She was also predeceased by her brother, Wayne Gauldin and 2 of her sisters, Martha Johnson and Doris Wyatt.

She is survived by her daughter, Debby B. Short and her son-in-law Terry Short of Fort Mill, SC; her son Doug Booth and his wife Cheryl Booth of Eden, NC;  her grandchildren Maricel Sonatore (Joe) of Fort Mill, SC, and Taylor Short(Paige) of Cary, NC ; her great-grandchildren Ariya James and Aliah James of Fort Mill, SC.

She is also survived by 2 of her sisters, Mary Jane Arnold of Danville, VA and Eunice Craig of Ringgold, VA.

Barbara (Nanny) enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and walking the neighborhood every day.   She recently attended her granddaughter’s wedding and enjoyed the time, music and dancing.   She loved her grand-dogs, Snoopy and Ranger, and watching her favorite daily TV shows.   She was very caring and kind and loved to reminisce about her life.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and we trust she will be in the presence of her predeceased family and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
