With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Yeng Lor Xiong, who entered the arms of the Lord on November 16, 2025. Yeng lived a life marked by devotion, resilience, selflessness, and unwavering faith. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, friend, and prayer warrior whose love touched every life she encountered.
Yeng Lor Xiong was born on March 20, 1952 to Van Choj Lor and Nyuam Vang in Laos. She has a total of 7 siblings. Yeng was a loyal and devoted daughter from the beginning. Raised in a family of farmers and hunters, she learned early the skills of survival, hunting, farming, and caring for the land. Her parents taught her responsibility at a young age, shaping her into a woman who was intelligent, courageous, deeply capable, and abundantly loving.
Yeng was a devoted wife to Pacher and a steadfast support to him in ministry. As a pastor’s wife, she became known as a powerful intercessor and a faith-filled encourager. Her faith was fierce and tender all at once, and she embodied the fruits of the Spirit in every part of her life.
Her joy was found in simple, beautiful things: farming, raising her flock of over 100 chickens, ducks, and pigeons, sharing her garden harvest, serving her delicious chicken, sticky purple rice, and dividing out her famous, labor intensive, flavorful hand crushed dried red peppers. Providing for her family brought her the deepest happiness. She was a faithful member of Charlotte Hmong Alliance Church, where her absence is deeply felt.
Yeng is survived by her loving husband, Pacher Xiong, her children; Mai (Husband: Vaj Thao), Tong (Husband: Xee Thao), Mai Houa (Husband: Yang Neng Vue), Chao (Husband: Valee Thao), Sheena (Husband: Xiong Vue), Tommy, David (Wife: Chong Yang), Lana and Vang (Wife: Ashley Moua); 30 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Yeng is preceded in death by her son, Touna Xiong.
Yeng leaves this world not empty but overflowing with the love she poured into others, the faith she lived with conviction and the legacy she built through strength, compassion, and grace.
Her love was her gift to us.
Our lives are her legacy.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
