Willie Vern Plyler

Rock Hill - Willie Vern Plyler passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, after suffering a heart attack while in the White Oak Manor, York, SC.

Willie was born in Junction City, Kansas on December 6, 1957.  He was employed as a master electrician and enjoyed fishing and watching University of SC (Gamecocks) football.

Predeceased in death by father, Raymond Harper Plyler; mother, Irby Bigham Plyler; brother, James Harris Plyler; brother, Harold Ronald Plyler, sister, Kaye Plyler Stophel; adopted father, Calvin Watkins.

Survived by one son, Matthew Paul Plyler (Rock Hill); sister, Gail Plyler Mangum (Columbia); nephew, Shawn Robert Stinson (Jenny) (Chico, California); Thomas Joseph Plyler (Catrina) (Columbia); adopted Mother, Doris Watkins (Rock Hill): adopted sister, Karen Watkins Moore (David) (Rock Hill); adopted sister, Beth Watkins Penland (Jamie) (McConnells) and several great nephews and niece.

A service will be held at Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Lesslie, SC at a date/time not yet determined.
