William Ward Anderson III

William Ward Anderson, III (Ward), age 73, of Tega Cay, SC passed peacefully on Nov 14, 2025. He is survived by his best friend and adoring wife of 52 years, Joan Cable Anderson, and his most precious daughter, Kerry Russell Anderson, of Woodstock, GA; as well as his three grand-dogs Duke, Oliver and Tuff. He is also survived by his siblings Elizabeth Colonna, Molly McCue and Andy Anderson.

He was the first child of William Ward Anderson, Jr. (Bill) and Elizabeth Evans Bayley (Libby) of Newport News, VA, who predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by his very loved 4-legged kids - - Poy, Sam, Max, Benz, Will, Shadow and Tank.

He graduated Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA and attended East Tennessee State University. He was an avid Mercedes-Benz aficionado, parts manager and mechanic. He also loved trains, model trains, F1 racing and music of all types.

He leaves behind many friends who will miss him dearly. A private memorial service will be held in the spring with his ashes being spread in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of North Carolina.
