It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Christopher Vincelli, age 26, of Fort Mill, SC. He was the dearly beloved son of Alfred Joseph Vincelli, II (Fred) and Kathryne Elizabeth Staats (Kalisa).
Will was born on March 5, 1999, in Dunedin, Florida spending his early formative years there prior to moving to Fort Mill, SC, at the age of six.
Will lived life to the fullest. He embraced opportunities, pursued passions, and made the most of every moment, ultimately finding meaning and purpose in life.
Will cherished his meaningful relationships by nurturing strong connections. He had an enduring love for his family, sharing his heart completely with each member. The connection between he and his mother was particularly close. She was his center, just as he was hers. A bond like no other.
Ever since Will was a young child, he had a passion for anything with wheels and that would go fast. At only 13 months old, he was riding a scooter down a steep driveway on Sparkling Court with precision and grace. He then thrived on trikes, bikes, skateboards, golf carts, dirt bikes, and four wheelers. As a teenager, Will was obsessed with cars, so much so that he owned nine different cars. He loved washing, customizing, taking pictures of them, and enjoying the roads.
Will was an avid athlete and committed to physical fitness. He was actively engaged with all his experiences, including hiking mountain trails with his brothers and father, and playing team sports like football, basketball and soccer with all his friends. He loved ripping through freshly fallen snow on a snowboard, to racing through the woods on a dirt bike. Will was fearless. There was no hesitation, no caution, just bravery and courage. He kept himself busy, but also embraced the simple things in life, like stopping everything just to absorb the natural beauty of breathtaking sunsets.
Will always enjoyed the finer things in life. He had exquisite taste, keeping up with the latest styles and trends, which ensured he showed up always dressed to impress to any occasion from backyard barbeques to black tie events. He was always effortlessly polished and sophisticated; and it did not hurt being blessed with natural good looks and tall stature.
Will always made time for social interaction. He was charming, making friends wherever he traveled. In high school he became involved in Young Life. He especially enjoyed attending their summer camps and was privileged to serve as a counselor at Windy Gap in NC, and again as a counselor at Crooked Creek Ranch in CO. He wrote of his experience those summers in loving tones and was happy about his growth in Christ. It was at camp where Will would declare Christ as his Savior.
Upon completion of high school at Nation Ford, Will completed his Associate Degree at St. Petersburg College and afterward attended the University of South Carolina. He was employed at Carolina Precision Fibers where he was a sales technician and was responsible for maintaining product performance with key accounts. Will took great pride in working with his father’s business.
In addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by his stepfather, Akim Staats. Will is survived by his two loving and caring brothers along with their wives, A.J. and Melissa Vincelli; Holden and Mallory Vincelli and his niece, Addison, and nephew, Ford; and his two stepbrothers Aden and Ari Staats. He was the cherished grandson of Tommy and Vicki Jones and Fred and Barbara Vincelli, and beloved nephew of Watson and Lauren Jones, Nikkie Vincelli and Gina Vincelli. He leaves memories of treasured and fun excursions with many cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Unity Presbyterian Church with Reverend Dr. Matthew A. Rich officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church reception hall.
