William Fredrick Brinkman, Iii

Rock Hill, SC - William Fredrick Brinkman III, 86, passed away February 2, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.

The funeral will be held at 4:30 PM on Wednesday, February 5, at The Shield Church in Rock Hill, SC with Pastor Larry Soles officiating. There will be a private family burial.

A native of Michigan, Bill Brinkman was the son of William Brinkman Jr. and Theresa Brinkman. Bill was an ambitious man, working as a mechanical draftsman, True Value Hardware owner as well as a contractor. He built five homes of his own. He served in the Navy Reserves in his younger years. He was a loving husband and also a wonderful father to not only his own children but to his daughter’s husbands.

Surviving are his wife, Debi Brinkman, one son, Kirk Brinkman, his wife Becky of Grasslake, Michigan; two daughters, Raquel Reiter, her husband Arvid of Rock Hill and DebbieLynne Costello, her husband Joe of York; two sisters, Pat Stachecki of Montana and Marcia Duffy of Arizona; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stephanie Brinkman and his sister, Betty Lewan.

The family will receive friends after the 4:30 PM memorial service on Wednesday at The Shield.
