William F. Barrineau (Bill)

January 22, 1936 — December 3, 2025

Fort Mill, SC

William F. Barrineau (Bill), 89, of Fort Mill, SC, was welcomed home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 3, 2025.

He was born on January 22, 1936, in Andrews, SC, and spent summers as a young boy on Pawleys Island. Bill resided in Charlotte, NC, for 54 years before moving to Fort Mill in 2022. He was highly respected for his knowledge of working in the window and glass industry for more than 60 years, most recently with Charlotte Glass Contractors.

Bill possessed a generous, kind spirit, and he loved to laugh. All who met him would feel that about him and considered him a friend…he had many! He also loved to watch sports, especially his beloved Clemson Tigers, and he was for many years an IPTAY donor and football season ticket holder. He had a very sharp mind and recalled many real-life stories that were so funny even when repeated over and over again. He and Vickie (Vick) shared a simple lifestyle of staying home (he loved her cooking), watching TV, and being around family and friends. But his biggest love was the Lord. He was a man of deep faith who uplifted many people in his daily prayers. He and Vick centered their entire marriage (January 14, 1995) on the foundation of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior at Central Church of God in Charlotte, NC.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Central Church of God in Charlotte on January 10, 2026.

Bill leaves behind his loving wife, Vickie, and three children – Patti Barrineau Jackson (Tim) of Conway, SC; Trey Barrineau (Jacqui) of Fairfax, VA; and Amanda Bonner (Michael) of Fort Mill, SC. The three grandchildren left behind to cherish his memory as “Papa” are Katie Jackson Halford (Craig) of Hampton, VA; and Bonner Shoe and Bella Holland of Fort Mill, SC. Additionally, Bill leaves behind a great-grandchild, Timothy William Halford of Hampton, VA; and numerous extended family members, coworkers and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his two siblings and his former wife, Patsy McNutt Barrineau.

The family would like to extend its deep appreciation to all those who provided compassionate care during this time of grieving.

Donations may be made to St Jude's Children’s Hospital or to the organization Tunnel to Towers in his memory.
