Walter Arlie Wallace, Jr

Catawba – Mr. Walter Arlie Wallace, Jr., 82, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, NC.

A native of Dillion, SC Mr. Wallace was a son of the late Walter Arlie Wallace and Bell Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a retired construction worker who worked for many different companies including Fluor Construction, PPM Construction, and Becon Construction. He loved to Shag dance and was a member of Charlotte, Lake Wylie and Rock Hill Shag Clubs. He was a veteran of the US Army, 82nd Artillery Division, and a member of The American Legion, the Frank Roach Post 34, Rock Hill, SC. Loved spending time outside working in the yard and fishing.

Surviving are a son, Walter Arlie Wallace III; three daughters, Karen Fordham, Carmen Wallace, and Jennifer Wallace; three grandsons, Walter Ray Wallace, Conner Fordham and Harper Fordham; a sister, Jeanette Howe; and a brother, Larry Wallace.
