Vincent Anthony Carlo, “Vince”, 72, of Rock Hill, SC and formerly of Washington, DC, peacefully passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. Vincent was born on July 20, 1953, in Washington, D.C., son of the late Nick Carlo and JoAnn Allen.
Born and raised in Washington, DC, Vince was the #1 fan of all DC sports teams. He relished all food from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, especially Maryland Blue Crabs. He was always the last to leave the crab feast table. Vincent served in the US Army in Vietnam Nam as an aircraft mechanic. After his tour in Nam, he entered into medicine. In 2004, he earned an Associate Degree in Health Science, Majoring in Radiologic Technology from York Technical College in Rock Hill, SC. This began his lifelong journey in radiology.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Ellen Harrison and husband Steve, of Ocean City, Maryland; nephews, David Harrison and wife Katie, and son Jack Hughes of Arlington, Virginia, Joseph Harrison and wife Caron, of Ocean View, Delaware, Melvin Morris and Sean Joyner; nieces, Toni Morris and Tabitha Joyner and many cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Vivian Joyner and Linda Morris.
Vincent will always be remembered as a loving, kind and generous son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend.
A local Celebration of Life will be held later, and burial will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Cheltenham, Maryland at an appropriate time.
