Vernon "Duke" Nichols, 58, of Rock Hill, died September 24th, 2015. He was born in San Diego, California, the son of Bertina Paulson Nichols. He worked at Bowater as a machine tender on the #3 paper machine for 40 years. Duke is survived by his daughters Whitney, Jericha, Carol and Karen, and two sons Thommy and Duke. He is survived also by loved relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements will be held at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, 700 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC 29730 (803) 329-4141. The service will be held on Monday, September 28th, 2015 at 6pm, with a visitation following.
