Vann Douglas Elder

Rock Hill - Mr. Vann Douglas Elder, Sr., (people called him "Pop"), 79, of 3855 Winter Road, died Friday, February 27, 2015, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Graveside services will be 11:00 Friday, March 6, 2015, at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC.

Mr. Elder was born in Mecklenburg County, NC and was a son of the late Herman Elder and Mabel Sowell Elder.

Surviving are a son, Kelly Scott Elder; a daughter, Connie Demby; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Grace Elder; and a son, Vann Elder, Jr.
