Fort Mill – Mr. Thomas “Bill” Harley Huggins, Jr., 86, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 26, 2021, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The family will receive friends 4:00 pm Friday, July 30, 2021, at Whitesell Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm in the Chapel with the Revs. Barry Yates and Delano Patterson officiating. The family will also receive friends and family at the home of his son, Wesley Huggins.

A native of Hartsville, SC Mr. Huggins was a son of the late Thomas Harley Huggins, Sr. and Nettie Mae Terry Huggins.  He was a Marine Corp. veteran and served in the Korean War.  He was also a Detention Center Officer for York County and he retired from York County Recycling Center.  He also owned and operated Big H Upholstery in Fort Mill, SC. He enjoyed going to Flea Markets and Auctions.  He loved his family and friends and especially his grandchildren.  From an early age he was a member of Sisk Memorial Baptist Church and later in life he became a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He loved to watch Rev. Charles Stanley and through his ministry became a more devoted Christian.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mary Frances Patterson Huggins of Fort Mill; three children, Harley W. Huggins (Sherri), Lynn Huggins Wilson; and Wesley Huggins (Cathy) all of Fort Mill; five grandchildren, Jeremy Huggins (Taryn), Keaton Huggins, Theo Huggins, Taryn Crow and Wesley Crow; four great-grandchildren, Alexis Huggins, Sebastian Shaw, Samuel Shaw and Amelia Crow.  He was preceded by a brother, Jimmy Huggins of Fort Mill; a sister, Ruth Huggins Sutton of Fort Mill; and son-in-law, George Wilson of Fort Mill.
