Theresa Ward Harris

Rock Hill – Mrs. Theresa Ward Harris, 67, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at her home.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Whitesell Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Whitesell Funeral Home with burial at the Catawba Ward Cemetery, 1989 Reservation Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

A native of Rock Hill, SC Mrs. Harris was a daughter of the late Junius E. Ward and Irene Soles Ward.  She was a homemaker who will be remembered as a loving mother who loved and raised many.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and attending family reunions.  She was a member of the Cel-River Church of God and loved to drive fast cars.

Surviving is her husband, Leon Harris; a son, Leon Harris, Jr.; four daughters, Theresa Rabon (Tracy), Brandy Wilson (Scott), Jessica Fairfax, and Barbara Bryson; three brothers, Zellon Ward, Randy Ward, and Eddie Ward; six sisters, Brenda Laney, Myra Gainey, Pam Gainey, Jacky Sanders, Mary Pratt, and Pam Gillespie; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Harris and Stanley Bryson; a daughter, Wendy Purvis; a brother, Bobby Ward; and a sister, Linda Harris.
