Susan Marie Plyler Pinson, of Rock Hill, passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2025, with her family by her side.
Susan was born on October 3, 1955, in Monroe, NC, to Moser and Louise Plyler, who preceded her in death. Susan married Wayne Pinson of Rock Hill in October of 1980. Together, they built their loving family. She is survived by her husband, Wayne, and their children. Her family included Gary, Chase, and Ashlee (Andrew) and her adorable grandchildren Costner Marie, McCain, and Dominic, whom she always declared she "loved to pieces." She is also survived by her twin sister, Cynthia Ashley, her brother Jimmy Plyler (Barbie), Ken Pinson, and Jean Simpson (Mike), as well as many nieces and nephews who loved and adored her.
Susan was employed by Dyke Industries as a cost analyst until she retired after thirty-seven years of service. After retirement, she joyfully shared her time and energy with her grandchildren. Susan was happiest when she was in her role as SuSu. Whether she was babysitting, vacationing, dining out, shopping, helping with homework, or just at home cuddling her grandchildren, one certainly saw her pleasures as the consummate loving grandmother, lovingly known as SuSu.
To know Susan as a friend, one regularly saw her loving, patient, and encouraging outlook on life. Her philosophy in life was quite simple: "Always keep love in your heart, keep it simple, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with tradition". Susan will be remembered by her unselfish, giving, and loving nature.
In accordance with Susan's wishes, no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Heart Association or even performing a random act of kindness to others would be appreciated.
