Shelia Louise (Taylor) Birchfield

Rock Hill – Mrs. Shelia Louise Taylor Birchfield, 75, died Friday, April 30, 2021, at Pruitt Health.

A native of Oakridge, TN, Mrs. Birchfield was a daughter of the late Fred Sanders Taylor and Lowdena Lee Smith Taylor.  She loved working on her crossword puzzles and bird watching.  She never met a stranger and had the ability to make connections with anyone that she engaged in conversation.

Surviving are her two children, Karen Ricker (Eddie), and Buddy Birchfield, Sr.; a brother, Ronald Taylor; two sisters, Mary Lee Azar and Kathy Threat; five grandchildren, Jeffery Davis, Bret Ostwalt, Zachary Birchfield, Buddy Birchfield, Jr. and Christian Birchfield.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Birchfield; a son, Morris Lester Hathcock; a brother, Dennis Taylor and two sisters, Pattiann Smith and Alice Biddle.
