With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sheila Darlene Meredith, whose kind spirit touched countless lives. She went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2026 at the age of 66.

Sheila was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Harold and Jackie Harper. She lived most of her life in Walhalla, SC before moving to Fort Mill, SC in 2016 to be close to her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Sheila was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, and she was known for her compassionate heart. Sheila considered parenthood her greatest achievement, and her 2 grandchildren were the light of her life in her later years.

She was an amazing cook who adored her cat, Izzy, and she absolutely loved the beach. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she would do anything for a friend or person in need.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Jackie Harper. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Terra Patterson and her son-in-law Josh Patterson; her cherished grandchildren Gray Patterson and Cate Patterson; her sister Cheryl Moore and her brother-in-law Malcolm Moore; her brother Michael Harper; and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in Walhalla, SC at a later date, with details forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of York County or the Fort Mill Care Center.
