Sandra Fudge Turner, 79, a lifelong resident of Landsford, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2026.
Sandra was born on October 27, 1946, to the late William Daniel “W.D.” Fudge and Hattie Hollis Fudge of Landsford. An only child, she was raised with strong Christian values that guided her throughout her life. She graduated from Lewisville High School in 1964 and, on June 13, 1964, married the love of her life, Mac Turner. Together they shared more than 62 years of marriage, building a home centered on faith, family, and hard work.
Sandra devoted most of her life to being a stay-at-home mother, caring for her family and home. While her children were in school, she worked as a teacher’s aide at Lewisville Elementary School, where she had her own classroom and worked with children with special needs. She later worked in banking and insurance. After her husband Mac retired, he and Sandra founded Quail Creek Farms, their cattle and poultry farm in Landsford. Through their hard work and dedication, Quail Creek Farms became a multigenerational family farm that continues to reflect the values they instilled in their family. She worked faithfully alongside him in every season of life, helping build not only a successful farm, but a home grounded in faith and family.
A faithful member of Neely’s Creek ARP Church in Rock Hill, Sandra loved the Lord and faithfully shared her faith with others. For many years, she and Mac volunteered with the Good News Club at Lewisville Elementary School, where they introduced countless children to the love of Jesus Christ.Sandra found joy in gardening, cooking, sewing, reading, and making her home a place where family always felt welcome. She was an avid reader and helped found the Lewisville Library, believing deeply in the value of learning and literacy. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known for her gentle spirit, kind heart, unwavering faith, and quiet strength. Her life was a testimony to God’s grace and His faithfulness.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Mac Turner; her daughter, Wendy Branham; and her son, Jason Turner and his wife, Karen. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Christian Branham (Lu), Jesse Branham (Emily), Hollis Branham, Derek Branham, Jacob Turner (Jasmine), Sierra Kirby, Nathan Turner, and Kassy Kirby. Her beloved great-grandchildren are Kennedi, Mila, Ellie, Maycee, Callan, and Rylie.
Sandra’s favorite passage of Scripture was Psalm 91. During one of the most difficult seasons of her life, she shared that Psalm 91:1 helped carry her through: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." — Psalm 91:1
Sandra’s life reflected the peace and confidence found in those words. She trusted the Lord through every season, finding strength in His promises and faithfully pointing others to His love.Sandra’s legacy is one of steadfast faith, unconditional love, selfless service, and unwavering devotion to her family. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her example of Christian love, compassion, humility, and grace. Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the assurance that she is home with her Savior.
