Sandra Kay Long

Sandra Kay Long, 61, passed away on April 24, 2025, in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

A dedicated professional, Sandra was a proud graduate of Delgado College in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she earned her degree in Accounting. She went on to build a successful career as an Account and Payroll Expert, applying her skills with precision and care throughout her working life.

Sandra was deeply involved in her community and gave generously of her time and energy. She was a passionate volunteer for numerous charitable organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Nourish Up, and the American Red Cross. Her certification to serve in disaster areas through the Red Cross reflected her commitment to helping others during their most difficult times.

Beyond her professional and volunteer work, Sandra found joy in her membership with the Camaro Car Club, where she shared her enthusiasm for classic cars with fellow enthusiasts.

Sandra is lovingly remembered by her mother, Peggy Sunseri; sister, Terri Becnel; brother, Dale Long Jr.; nephews Robert Babin Jr., Justin Babin, and Michael Long; aunt Jean Murray McClean; and cousins Samantha McClean, Bill Kennedy, Mary Lynn Kennedy McMinn, Eric Kennedy, Jeffery Murray, and Kenneth Murray.

Sandra was never afraid to take on new opportunities. When she did, she did so with honesty and integrity. She loved traveling, spending time with her car buddies, visiting friends and family, and spending time with her cats. Her strong values and positive energy will be reminders for all of us to live life with meaning, love, and service, as Christ modeled for us. Sandra was taken too soon, but she would want her friends and family to remember the past, live in the present, and look forward to future adventures with confidence. She will be forever in our hearts.

A life celebration will be held at a yet-to-be-determined date. Once the date is set, it will be posted.
