Sandra Howell Bowers, also known as Wendy, Pooh, and Granny, 72 years old, of Rock Hill, SC passed away peacefully at home on Thursday morning, June 18, 2026. She is now in the presence of the Lord. She was born February 13, 1954, in Rock Hill, SC, daughter of Willie Jean McArthur and Clarence "Red" Howell.

Simply put, Wendy was a lover who went above and beyond to help anyone. She truly had such a big heart. She loved her son, Dustin Bowers (Jennifer Bowers), and daughter, Amanda Barber (Ron Barber), and their families. The love she showed others in her former better days will forever be cherished by many.

She was a believer in Jesus Christ, and for that, her family has peace with moving forward. She truly exemplified unconditional love. The family asks to be lifted in prayer in the coming days.

Her daughter, Amanda, and her husband, Ron, would like to extend deep appreciation and love to all those who have showered them with help and love, especially in the last few months prior to her passing. It has meant more than anyone knows to them. Also, the family wants to express how thankful they are for the help of hospice nurses and sweet caregivers who cared for Wendy in her final days. Your love and kindness will never be forgotten and Wendy's grandson, RJ, will miss all of your visits.

Her sweet smile, pretty green eyes, and unique laugh will be greatly missed.

There will be no funeral services at this time. The family asks that you simply keep them in prayer and continue to check in with them in the coming days as they establish a new normal and move forward.
