Ryan G Breeger, age 33, of Rock Hill, was called home by our Lord on January 7th, 2022 and has joined his Grandad, other family and friends in eternal happiness. Though he left this world far too soon, he left this world a better place by touching the hearts of family and so many friends. Ryan truly believed he was here for a purpose and his faith in God was strong.
Ryan was born in Mary Immaculate Hospital, Newport News, VA, on February 2nd 1988 and he was our only child. He went to elementary and middle school in Dalton, GA and was a 2006 graduate of Fort Mill HS. He played football, baseball, roller and ice hockey, from an early age. Ryan attended college at York Technical and Central Piedmont Community College, studying electrical technology and fire science.
Ryan was passionate about working in a search and rescue environment, so he became a volunteer fire fighter for the Carolina Fire Department, in Ballantyne, NC. He also worked in the logistics and transportation field, for over 10 years and most recently as a manager for American West Worldwide Express.
He loved the outdoors: hunting, boating, wakeboarding, motorcycling, and big trucks, but his passion was fishing. He said that while fishing, I can clear all the stress and reflect on my life, my faith, my future and my family and friends. At times, he would spend a major portion of the night on Lake Wylie, pulling in large catfish and then throwing them back for another day. He also was a very accomplished cook, especially on the grill and smoker.
Preceded by the passing of his Grandad, Raymond, those left to cherish his memory are his Grammy Ruth, of Newport News, his Mom Diana and Pop Gary, of Tega Cay, his fiance Kelly Paoletti, of Rock Hill, as well as his uncles, aunts and cousins in AR, FL and VA. Ryan asked for Kelly’s hand in marriage, on Christmas Eve 2021, at a small outdoor Chapel.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Palmetto Funeral Home, Carolina Place Drive, on Saturday January 22nd at 2:00PM.
A Blessing Service for family, will be held in the spring, at St Mark Lutheran Church located in Yorktown, VA.
