Immediately following the funeral service.
Roxie Gray, age 75, of 1823 Sutton Springs Road, York, South Carolina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, leaving her earthly home to step into Glory.
Roxie was born March 7, 1951, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to her late parents, Martha Lee Rowe Harrison and Deorse Monroe Harrison, Jr..
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Harrison, and her husband, James Edward Gray.
She attended school in Rock Hill and worked at Belk’s in the old Rock Hill Mall and at Smith Enterprises in York. She was a member of Bullock Creek Cowboy Church.
Roxie had a big heart for children and loved bringing sweet treats and toys for them at church. She was revered for her made-from-scratch chicken and dumplings.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, James Robert (Robbie); stepson, James Allen; and a brother, Tommy Harrison.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 10:00am at Bullock Creek Cowboy Church, 1212 Edgefield Road, York, South Carolina, with Pastor Russell Smith officiating. Internment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4290 Old York Road, in Rock Hill, with Pastor Mark Dellinger officiating.
In memory of Roxie Gray, memorials may be made to the Neurofibromatosis Foundation.
Bass-Cauthen is assisting the family.
