October 29, 1941 — February 27, 2026

Rock Hill, SC

Roxanna Froneberger Anderson, 84, of Rock Hill, SC passed away on Friday February 27th, 2026, at Atrium Health in Pineville, NC.

Roxanna, affectionately known as “Rocky” to those closest to her, was born on October 29th, 1941. She grew up in Gastonia, NC and graduated from Ashley High School.

Rocky attended Brenau University in Gainesville, GA, where she met her husband, Luther, during a social event with his visiting Clemson fraternity. They were married on June 15th, 1962, and had two sons, Greg and Bryan.

While raising her sons and making a home for their family in LaGrange, GA, Rocky taught kindergarten and elementary school for many years. Once her children were grown and had families of their own, Rocky and Luther moved to Rock Hill, SC, and retired on Lake Wylie.

In her spare time, Rocky enjoyed hosting events, cooking, taking boat rides on the lake, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Rocky was a kind and compassionate woman with an infectious vitality for life. A smile from her was as warm as the glow of sunshine.

Rocky is predeceased by her father and mother, Henry and Rebecca Froneberger, her stepmother, Mary Froneberger, and her brother, Henry Froneberger. She is survived by her loving husband Luther Anderson, her sons Greg Anderson (Amy) and Bryan Anderson (Kim), and her grandchildren Caleb Anderson and Grace Anderson. She is also survived by her sisters Becky Collins, Sue Schenck (Ed), Ann Schrader (Clem), and her sister-in-law, Liz Froneberger.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 8th, 2026, at 2 pm at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 pm.
