Rose Marie Moreschi passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in Fort Mill, South Carolina at the age of 90.
Rose was born Rosa Domenica Ripepi on January 25, 1936, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, to Catherine Quattrone and Michaelangelo Ripepi. Rose was the youngest of 8 children. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit Italian family, rooted in a strong Catholic faith. Bright and determined, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from California University, a milestone that opened the door to her true calling. Rose became an educator at Peters Township Middle School teaching mathematics and dedicating herself to education. After raising her three daughters, Rose went back to college and earned her Masters Degree from California University.
Rose enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards, and spending time with her beautiful family. She loved being a Nona, spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren at every opportunity, and they loved hearing stories about her childhood. Her favorite place to be was in the kitchen surrounded by her family making her famous Italian cookies and cakes. Rose and John moved to Fort Mill, SC a decade ago, but she always kept in touch with family through phone calls and visits from relatives as they passed through on their travels. Her faith meant everything to her and she spent hours each day praying for her loved ones.
Rose was preceded in death by her mother and father, two infant siblings Antonio and Catherine, brothers Anthony “Neno” (Mamie), Philip “Leo” (Madeline), and Michaelangelo “Angelo” (Jean), and her sisters Frances Pepka (Anthony) and Antoinette Cramer (Tom).
Rose is survived by her loving husband of nearly 65 years John Moreschi of Fort Mill, SC. She was adored by her daughters Michele Jasper (Craig), Jonna Moreschi, and Lisa Rock (John) and is survived by her grandchildren Chelsea Anderson (Ed), Morgan VerHage (Corey), Ross Jasper (McCrae), Michael Rock, Jenna Cafaro (Joe), and Catherine Rock, and great-grandchildren George Anderson, Henry Anderson, and Charlie VerHage.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Fort Mill, SC.
