Ronald Wasserman, 73, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026. Born to Rose and Stanley Wasserman, Ron was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy was the family he built and loved so deeply.

Ron shared more than 50 years of marriage with the love of his life, Linda. Their life together was a beautiful testament to enduring love, devotion, and partnership. Through more than five decades of life’s joys and challenges, they remained by each other’s side, creating a lifetime of memories and a family filled with love.

Ron was a devoted father to Michael and Michelle and took great pride in the people they became. But perhaps his most cherished role was being Poppy to his grandchildren, Sean, Petey, and Dylan. He loved watching them grow, spending time with them, and making memories they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. His grandchildren knew they were deeply loved, and they will always remember the special place Poppy held in their hearts.

Ron also shared an incredibly special bond with his niece, Alyssa. Their relationship was one that went far beyond that of an uncle and niece. He loved Alyssa and cared for her as though she were his own daughter. She held a very special place in his heart, and the love, guidance, and connection they shared will remain a treasured part of her life and his legacy.

Ron was also a wonderful father-in-law to Pete, whom he welcomed into the family with warmth and love. He treasured the relationships he shared with each member of his family and never took those bonds for granted.

A longtime lover of golf, Ron enjoyed being on the course and sharing in the simple pleasures that made life special. Whether he was playing a round of golf, spending time with Linda, or surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and family, it was the time with the people he loved that meant the most.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Eric. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Michael and Michelle; his grandchildren, Sean, Petey, and Dylan; his niece, Alyssa; and his sister, Sheryl.

Ron leaves behind more than a lifetime of memories—he leaves behind a family who will continue to love him, talk about him, and carry him with them every day. His place in their lives can never be filled, and his love will continue to be felt in all the moments they share together.

Though saying goodbye is never easy, his family finds comfort in knowing that the love he gave so freely will live on through the generations he leaves behind.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 10:00am at Palmetto Funeral Home 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708 with a burial to follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens 700 Heckle, Blvd Rock Hill, SC 29708.
