Robert Lee McAteer passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 13, 2026, surrounded by his niece, Gloria Chavero, caregiver Benito Flores, and case worker Ali.

He was born on July 21, 1929. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacklyn, as well as four brothers and five sisters.

He was a devoted member of Westerly Hills Baptist Church, where he found great joy in his faith and fellowship with fellow church members. Robert was a quiet man who cherished the outdoors and had a deep love for music.

A burial service will be held at West Side Cemetery on Friday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his devotion to his church, and the simple joys that brought him happiness throughout his life.
