Robert (aka Sid, Sundance) Frederic Lonabaugh, 85, of Indian Land, SC, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. Born in Gloucester City, NJ on September 14, 1939, Robert was known for his friendly and outgoing nature, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

A true sports enthusiast, Bob’s passion for Philadelphia teams was unwavering. He was a devoted fan of the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, and Flyers. Beyond spectating, Bob was an avid participant in sports himself, finding joy on the golf course, the softball field, and horseshoes. His love for these activities was a testament to his vibrant and engaging spirit. He was well known as a supportive coach, mentor and leader.

He served in the army from 1959-1962. He was a graduate of Pierce Junior College.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Claire Lonabaugh; his sons, Robert Thomas Lonabaugh and Matthew Lonabaugh (Wendi); his cherished grandchildren, Robert, Brittnay, Devon, Zoe, Natalie, and Thomas; and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings Marge Harsel, George Lonabaugh, Theodore Lonabaugh, Bill Lonabaugh, and Danielia Fisher.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Lake House in Sun City Carolina Lakes. Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories of Robert.
