Ricky David Lovelace

September 14, 1953 — April 18, 2016

Ricky David Lovelace, 62 earned his heavenly reward Monday, April 18, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Baptist Church in Rock Hill. The service will be officiated by Rev. Jerry Devinney. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Ricky was a native of Rock Hill S.C. He was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. He graduated in 1971 from Rock Hill High School. Ricky enjoyed playing sports and excelled in baseball. He was also an avid SC Gamecock fan. He was the owner of GrandSlam. During his free time, he loved fishing and spending time with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" David Lovelace. Surviving are his wife, Kelly Carroll Lovelace; his mother, June Hyman Lovelace; his five sisters, Delta Williams, Patricia White, Billie (Paul) McFadden, Kaye Jones, Phyllis (Lewis) Graham; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Also surviving are Ricky's closest friends, Dennis Clamp and Sam Donald and too many others to recognize. Mrs. Lovelace would like to thank Dr. Pal and the staff of Levine Cancer Institute of Charlotte, N.C. and Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill for all of their loving compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill, S.C. and/or Lakewood Baptist Church of Rock Hill, S.C.
