Richard Strauss, 71, died April 20, 2016 in Rock Hill, SC, after an extended battle from Lewy Body Disease as well as from long-term exposure to both chemicals and biotoxins. A Massachusetts native, Rick earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at Rollins College, his MS Ed. at Salem State College, and postgraduate studies in counseling at the University of South Florida. In 1985, he established Occupational Resources, Inc., a litigation consulting practice in Oakton, VA, specializing in evaluating clients who became disabled after an accident, negligence, or abuse. He was a passionate expert witness defending those stricken with disability and often without a voice. He testified in more than 1,000 cases including vaccine injuries, toxic worksites, and traumatic brain injuries. Rick will be remembered as a loving family man with a razor-sharp wit and a passion in serving others. Contributions in his name may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
