Richard S. Lester Jr.

Richard Sanford Lester, Jr., of Rock Hill, SC, was born on June 26, 1953, in Martinsville, VA. He went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was marked by deep devotion to his family and unwavering faith.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lester; his sons, Richard Lester III (Amanda) and Brian Lester (Elizabeth); and his cherished grandchildren, Jaxon, Caroline, Andrew, and Kannon, who brought him endless joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard S. Lester, Sr, and Ruby Lester, and his son, Gary Lester.

Richard will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love and laughter he shared with all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith, love, and family will live on through those he leaves behind.

A private celebration of Richard’s life will be held on September 13, 2025, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory.
