Richard E. Harvey

Mr. Richard Eugene Harvey 82 of Rock Hill, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Piedmont Medical Center. Born in Concord, NC, Mr. Harvey was the son of the late Robert and Mary Smith Harvey. Richard was a member of First Baptist Church, Rock Hill, was an avid bowler and golfer and was retired from the U.S. Air Force and the US Postal Service. He also taught at York Technical College. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708 with military honors by the US Air Force. Richard is survived by his wife Tommie Tuggle Harvey, his son Ric Harvey of St. Louis, MO, his daughter Lyne Harvey of Wilkesboro, NC, four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave. 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
