Raymond Christian

Fort Mill Mr. Raymond Lamar Christian, Jr. age 53, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center. Born in Charlotte, NC, Mr. Christian was a son of Peggy Bridges Christian and the late Raymond L. Christian, Sr. He was employed with Distribution Technology for 26 years and was a member of Independent Bible Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his daughter Amanda. He also enjoyed kayaking and hiking with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. He is survived in addition to his mother by his wife of thirteen years, Betty J. Christian; his daughter, Amanda Christian; his stepdaughters; Kathy (James) Bennett, Tammy (Jerry) Bennett, Sherry Culley and Candy (Petie) Chapman; his brother; Steven (Cathy) Christian and eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 at Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708. The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, February 2nd, 2012 at Palmetto Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Coley officiating. Interment will be in the Pineville City Cemetery, Pineville, NC.
