Polly Brenda (Meeks) Foster

Chester, SC – Polly Brenda Meeks Foster, 78, died Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Whitesell Funeral Home.  Everyone will be required to wear a mask according to the City of Rock Hill ordinance.

A graveside service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 536 Old Quaker Church Road, Laurens, SC 29360 with Rev. David English officiating.

A native of Ware Shoals, SC Mrs. Foster was a daughter of the late Horace Ross Meeks and Aleene Williams Meeks.  She was a graduate of Winthrop University.  She worked for the United States Postal Service for 27 years.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Harvey Foster; a daughter, Dawne Sanders Collins and her husband, Bobby; two step-sons, Dwayne Foster and John Foster; two granddaughters;  Ashley Collins and Megan Goff; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jake, and Collin; three step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lamar Meeks and Lanny Meeks; and three nieces and a nephew.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Preston Meeks.
