Paula L. Nagle, 69, passed away peacefully in her home of 42 years on January 18, 2026, after bravely facing cancer for the past two years. A longtime resident of Rock Hill, she began her journey as a single mother, determined to provide for her son before herself, and left with tremendous happiness, complete peace, and a beautiful legacy.
Paula was born the youngest of eight, on February 14, 1956, in Jamestown, New York. Known lovingly as “Mimi” to her grandchildren and family, she grew into a woman whose compassion, strength, and selflessness left a lasting mark on everyone she met.
Approaching her 21st year of sobriety, Paula lived as a daily example of determination, humility, and forgiveness for her recovery family. She also served as a Peer Support Specialist at Keystone Substance Services, where she was deeply respected and cherished. To those she helped, she was more than a mentor—she was a steady light, a living testament to hope, resilience, and transformation, and a source of unwavering support.
To her friends, Paula was honest, loyal, and unconditionally loving. She always showed up selflessly and without hesitation. Her wit and ability to share heart-hitting perspectives in the simplest way helped form and sustain lifelong friendships.
As the “baby” of her family, she shared treasured relationships with her siblings, who loved her to the moon and back. Above all, Paula was a devoted mother to her two sons, whom she loved fiercely, and the very best Mimi to her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
Paula will forever be something truly rare to all: a walking angel whose kindness and love were felt whether she crossed someone’s path for a moment or a lifetime. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she lifted, the forgiveness she extended so freely, and the hope she inspired in others. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Paula is survived by her sons, Tyler and Russell; Russell’s spouse, Terra; her grandchildren, Reese, Jackson, and Emerson; and her siblings, Karen, Kathy, Leslie, Kris, Colleen, Tim, and Michael.
Her immediate family will hold an open house at her home on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
