Paul Laverne Burton, Jr.

Lancaster, SC – Mr. Paul Laverne Burton, Jr, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at his home.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 21, 2024, 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm at Whitesell Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be Monday, October 21, 2024, at 3:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catawba Ward Cemetery.

A native of Chester County, SC Mr. Burton was a son of the Paul Laverne Burton, Sr. and Barbara Love Burton Ganus.  Mr. Burton enjoyed two things in life:  working in the yard and working in his garden.  He was a member of the United States Army.  When his mother was alive, he really enjoyed taking care of her.  He was a fan of the Carolina Panthers.  He was an avid Beatles and Elvis Presley fan.  When he was younger he was a member of a rock band.

Surviving are his wife, Jackie Harris Burton; a son, Matthew Burton; a daughter, Angela Burton; and a sister, DeNiece Hooper.
