God reached down from the heavens and raised this beautiful woman into his arms where she will no longer suffer the pain of cancer and the sadness that envelopes one in their fight for life. Patsy will be missed and grieved by many. Known as a quiet and kind lady who would give you the shirt off her back while smiling because she could help. Raised in a military family and travelled all over the world she always felt that home was right here in Fort Mill.
Patsy was an artist her entire life and spent each and every day crafting. For years she was a member of the York County Artist's Guild and participated in many of their art classes, entered her paintings into their auctions and sold quite a few. She did commission paintings for private citizens both here and abroad. Many years ago she won an award at Charlotte's Festival in the Park for one of her original paintings. She was also involved in pottery, jewelry making and any other craft that allowed her to be the free spirited person she was.
Loved ones and friends will never forget Patsy's tendency to do the silliest things which always erupted a room in laughter. That was our Patsy and we will so miss the joy she brought to all of us.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Ellie Massey, Jr., three brothers, Tommy, Billy and Jimmy. She is survived by her brother Mike Massey (Ellen), sister Marie Senne (Stan) and sister Barbara Griffin. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and her only surviving Aunt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Services will be private.
