Nancy Thompson Jenkins

Nancy Thompson Jenkins, 85, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on July 31, 1940, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Nancy spent both the first and final chapters of her life in the city she called home. She lived much of her adult life in Indian Land, South Carolina, before moving to Fort Mill.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Alexander Jenkins. Together they built a life rooted in love and devotion to family. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Jenkins, and her son-in-law, Aaron Lovett, who lovingly helped care for her in her final months.

Nancy was a strong and virtuous woman whose kindness extended to everyone she met. Her strength, grace, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She had a deep love for creativity and found joy in making the world around her more beautiful. Whether tending to her plants and flowers or arranging spaces to bring comfort and delight to others, Nancy had a gift for creating warmth and beauty in everyday life.

She cherished time spent with family and friends and believed that life’s greatest blessings were found in togetherness. Nancy also had a lifelong love of animals and shared her home and heart with many beloved pets over the years.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 15, at 3pm at Belair United Methodist Church in Indian Land, South Carolina. In honor of Nancy’s vibrant spirit and joyful heaven-going, guests are encouraged to wear bright colors as a celebration of her beautiful life.

Her legacy of strength, kindness, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
