Millie Louise (Young) Murray

Millie Louise Young Murray, 89, a lifelong resident of Rock Hill, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017. She was a former member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and the Gray-Cockerell Auxiliary 3746. She loved cooking and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Alexander Murray; 4 children, Johnny R. Murray, Reginald A. Murray, Selywn Murray, Henry Murray. She is survived by her 8 children, Sammie L. Murray, Vivian L. Massey (Jackie), Derrick L. Murray, Ivory D. Murray (Sarah), Keely A. Murray, Gavonda Murray-Edwards (Alexander), Bettye J. Roseboro, Mary L. Young; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; a cousin, EG Springs. A funeral will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 1:00pm in the Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Providence Hospice. Online condolences may be registered at www.basscares.com.
