Michael David Wright, 35, of Rock Hill, SC, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11, 2026. He was born July 3rd, 1991, in Rock Hill, SC to David and Kay Wright.

Michael was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Michael enjoyed bowling, spending time with his family and friends, but most of all, he enjoyed being a father.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ford and Sara A. Wright, Jr.; and maternal grandparents, Fred and Ruby H. Blackwelder, Jr.

He leaves behind his loving parents, David and Kay Wright of Rock Hill; his beloved sons, Liam, Talon, and Mateo Wright; sisters, Ashley (Jonathan) Tennant and Melissa Rice; two nephews, one niece; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He also leaves behind his loving dog, Nala, who was an important part of his life.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Whitesell Funeral Home. A service celebrating Michael's life will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Whitesell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forrest Hills Cemetery.
