Michael Dean Fling

Michael Dean Fling, Sr. a beloved husband, father, granddad and friend, passed away peacefully at home Monday night July 21 at the age of 73, surrounded by his loving wife and children, 

Born January 15, 1952, he was so proud to say he was born and raised in Fort Mill.

Mike pursued a career in plumbing and electric, working for his dad and then eventually continuing the business after his dads passing.

In 1978 Mike ventured out starting an irrigation and landscape business which he continued to operate until his passing. He was a firm believer in supporting his home town.

He was known for his ability to solve problems. His motto was "Tell me what you can do not what you can't do!"

Mikes life will always be remembered by his generosity and willingness to lend a hand to those in need.

He always offered the kind of hard- earned advice that lingered long after the conversation ended. His sharp sense of humor and playful teasing brought happiness wherever he went. 

Mike is survived by his loving wife Jackie and their 2 sons: Michael (Ann) and Chuck (Jennifer). He was a proud Papa to Wyatt (Emily) and Georgia. He also leaves behind 2 sisters: Amber (Roger) Aiton and Danna Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Billie Fling.

A Visitation will be held at Sisk Memorial Church, Thursday July 24th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Arrangements are in the care of Palmetto Funeral Group.
